Meet the Artist
Hello and welcome! I am Abi Cooper, a self-taught artist and passionate conservationist. At 29, I’ve dedicated my life to merging my love for wildlife with my artistic expression. As an outdoor enthusiast from a young age, I pursued my studies with a BSc in Animal Conservation Science, which further ignited my passion for both conservation and creativity.
After graduation, I rekindled my artistic journey, picking up the paintbrushes once more after years of not being actively creative. This powerful blend of art and conservation has become my life's work and true calling.
My travels have taken me across the globe, volunteering and working with various conservation organizations. My longest stay was in Costa Rica, where I had the privilege of combining my artistic passion with my love for wildlife. There, I worked alongside local artists, selling my pieces to help raise awareness and essential funds for the Macaw Recovery Network's Macaw Conservation efforts.
In addition to my art, I have worked in numerous fundraising, education & communications roles, all centred around wildlife and conservation. These experiences continually inspire me, as I believe in the power of storytelling and conversation to create change. At my art events, I aim to not only share my wildlife-inspired works, but also spark important discussions about conservation, connecting with our favourite wild creatures, and supporting charitable causes dedicated to protecting them.
Currently, I am working towards my Master’s degree, living a sustainable, off-grid lifestyle in Cornwall. Through my art, I continue to raise funds for conservation initiatives, one brushstroke at a time.
Thank you for visiting my page. I hope you find something here that inspires you and sparks a deeper connection to the natural world.
All the love,
Abi Cooper
